Dynamic Overtime Rules & Pay Differentials
Dynamic Overtime Rules & Pay Differentials
Ensure overtime compliance & prevent abuse
Built to handle any scenario, RealTime can accommodate a basic 40-hour work week, daily overtime, consecutive days, special days, double time, and even custom rules unique to your business.
An overtime progress meter helps supervisors monitor employee overtime right from their Timekeeper dashboard.
All overtime hours are automatically calculated and included with your payroll export so you can manage overtime without working overtime.
Pay Differential
If you pay your employees special rates for working certain hours, shifts, or days, RealTime automates those pay differentials so you don’t have to think about it.
Pay adjustments can be pre-programed to reward employees for clocking in on time, working weekends, coming in early or staying late. It’s the easy way to ensure your employees are accurately and generously compensated for the hard work they do.
Night Differential and Shift Differential are terms that refer to an Increase in Pay for work performed during defined Differential Periods. A Differential Period can be any period of time that your employer defines it to be. Most common, however, Differential Pay is used when employees work late shifts, early shifts, have shifts on weekends, or any combination of these. A similar “Extra Compensation” is Call-In pay. This refers to a monetary compensation for people that are “Called-In” or “Called-Back” to work during their Off Work Period. RealTime easily handles situations like these.
Holiday Differential is similar to Shift Differential, in that the employee receives additional compensation for work performed during defined periods. In this case however, the defined period means a Holiday. RealTime easily and automatically calculates Holiday Premiums and Holiday Pay as needed for employees that receive Holiday Pay or have earned Holiday Premium for work performed on Holidays.
Set it and Forget it!
Shift Differential, Night Differential, Weekend Differential, Call-In Pay, Holiday Pay and Holiday Premium calculations are all automated by the RealTime software. Simply set up the rules you need, then let the software take it from there.
