Multi-user / Concurrent Data Access: Whether you need regular concurrent users or just occasional review and overview of the information, you will appreciate that RealTime effectively handles all necessary record locking and controls. Additionally, users can work in different companies, same companies or switch in and out as desired. RealTime retains information on the users machine that "remembers" what company the user last worked with and reopens it on startup. Supervisors will be pleased to know that they can create multiple users, each with their own passwords and access can be controlled through department level "Authorized" or "Restricted" controls.

Informative and Easy to Use Editing Tools: RealTime provides a powerful "Transaction List" tool for reviewing and editing transactions. This tool provides organized transaction data in a format that makes sense. You are able to make changes, override values, create new entries and remove items from here.

Additionally, you are provided descriptions of any exceptions (potential problems) that exist, allowing you to remedy them easily.

This form automatically summarizes the employees totals into 3 types:

  • Worked Time
  • Non-Worked Hours
  • Monetary Amounts.

Total Control of Pay Periods and Pay Policies: Select from Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Semi-Monthly, Monthly or Custom pay period lengths. Pay periods can start on any day of the week or month you desire. New pay periods can begin at midnight or any other time you determine is best for your organization. RealTime is designed to give you the freedom you want and need.

Pay Policies / Overtime Rules can be configured to your own needs as well. RealTime supports 2 concurrent overtime rules (such as a Daily Rule and a Weekly Rule) and simultaneously considers rules for consecutive days worked, weekend or special day criteria and holiday premiums. Employees in the same company can have different Pay Policies either individually or as groups.

Support for Shift Differential is also handled by the RealTime software. You can set up Shift premium amounts that are either specified monetary values or a percentage of the employee pay rate.

Unlimited Variable Pay Rates are supported within RealTime as well. You can specify a different Pay Rate for different Departments, Jobs or Department/Job combinations. Variable Pay Rates can be as unique as desired, down to individual employees or groups of employees, Individual Departments, Department Groups, Individual Jobs, Job Groups or combinations of any of the above.

Comprehensive Reporting Reduces Your Workload: Standard reports built into RealTime provide comprehensive information that is relevant to you and your operation. Reporting is organized into groups for easier control. Time Reports provide extensive information regarding worked time, non-worked time and monetary adjustments. Labor Distribution reports provide detailed information about operational costs of various departments and jobs. Attendance and Management reporting provide details of importance to management personnel.

While we have attempted to provide all the reports that any organization may need, it is clear that occasionally a business may need different information or need it in a different format than we have provided. For this reason, we have made the data available to our customers so that they can use Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, Active Reports or some other tool of choice to create the exact solution you need.

More Than Simple Time Transactions: Your needs may be well beyond simple IN/OUT transaction calculations. For this reason, RealTime can record and report Break Times, Lunch Times in addition to the basic IN and OUT punches that we all need. RealTime supports tracking Department and Job codes with your Time Records allowing you to obtain accurate cost analysis for departments and jobs within your organization.

Beyond Time Tracking, RealTime also supports Paid Time Off such as Sick pay, Holidays, Vacation pay and Personal Time and more.

Monetary type entries are supported as well, including Commissions, Tips, Advances and Other. Piecework calculations are supported as well as Variable Pay Rates, dependant on tasks performed.

Unlimited Department and Job Costing: RealTime supports an unlimited number of Departments and an unlimited number of Jobs. Employees can be assigned to "Home Department" values and can also enter their "current" or "active" department right at the Time Clock. Employees can also enter their current Job code into the Time Clock.

Switching between Departments and Jobs during the workday is a breeze. Simply press the "Switch" key and enter the new Department and/or Job code. RealTime will assign the new hours to the correct Department and Job.

Unlimited Variable Pay Rates are supported within RealTime as well. You can specify a different Pay Rate for different Departments, Jobs or Department/Job combinations. Review and Edit: View and Edit your Time Card transactions in a simple to use "Transaction List". Transactions are grouped by employee and organized sequentially by date. You have the ability to view all employees together, a range of employees or just a single individual. You also have the ability to limit your display to Exceptions (transactions with potential errors).

Easily assign and reassign time desired Departments and Jobs, Override calculations, add and remove transactions and much more.

Overtime Rules: Overtime rules (See Pay Policies above) are customizable for a large variety of options. In addition to standard federal and state overtime policies, you can add weekend premiums, consecutive day premiums and even accrue time-away toward overtime.

You are able to easily maintain separate pay rules in different companies or even maintain separate rules for individual employees.

Time Away Reporting: Supports vacation, holiday, sick, personal and bonus time reporting. An automated holiday management system awards holiday pay by customized rules assigned to individual or groups of employees.

Build Your Own Reports: Use Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, Active Reports or your own favorite tools to get the information you want. Data is maintained in Microsoft Access database files so you can get to it if necessary, creating the exact solution you desire.

Archiving: keep your active files as efficient as possible and safely save date ranges of processed records to the archive file. You can always bring them back if you need access to the archived information at some later date.

Exceptions (potential error / missed punch): The system automatically flags unusual punch activity so there are no surprises on payday. RealTime can identify problem of duplicate punch activity, missed punches, invalid department / task entries, long spans, overlapping entries and more. RealTime explains the problem so corrections can be made quickly and easily.

Live, Scheduled or On-Demand Data Collection: Different businesses have different needs when it comes to Time and Attendance tracking and data collection. RealTime supports Time Clock choices and options that include data transfer methods that will meet your needs. Use Live transfer for immediate delivery of information to your RealTime database, Use Scheduled to have the information collected in a batch process automatically. Use On-Demand when you want to collect Scheduled data at non scheduled times or if you find it more convenient to collect you punch data only occasionally.

Automated Pay for Holidays and Holiday Premiums: You have total control over your holidays by creating holiday groups. You can set a group to pay premiums for employees if they work on the holiday, paid time off, if they don't work, or even holiday pay in addition to their regular earnings. Since Employees are assigned to "Holiday Groups", you are able to support different holiday pay and premiums for different employees within a single company.

Support for Commission and Piecework Pay: Companies that use Commission and/or Piecework based compensation understand that Overtime issues can cause additional headache for this type of pay. RealTime is able to re-calculate Commission and Piecework amounts to properly account for the Overtime considerations.

Save and E-mail Reports: Often the report you create is destined for a supervisor or manager. With RealTime you can create the desired reports and E-mail them or even save them as RTF or HTML files for your designated recipient. This feature not only saves you time, but is usually more convenient for the recipient as well.

Employee Self Service: In order to reduce administrative workload, RealTime now supports Employee Self Service by allowing employees to view their current hours right at the Time Clock. (Requires ZON 54x Time Clock terminal)
